Pro-Life Mass with Bishop Sartain (photos)

Pictures taken during the Aug 29th Pro-Life Mass with our Knights and Bishop Sartain:

2009 Corpus Christi Outdoor Eucharistic Procession

“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink His blood, you have no life in you; he who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”

– John 6:53

On Sunday, June 14th, our Honor Guard participated in The Feast of Corpus Christi and the Outdoor Eucharistic Procession.  The Procession around the neighborhood visited four alters representing the preaching of the four Gospels to the four corners of the world!

  • Second Altar: (prepared by Vocations Ministry) reading from the Gospel according to St. Mark 6:34 “Taking five loaves and two fish”
  • Third Altar: (prepared by Elizabeth Ministry) Gospel of St. Matthew 26:26 “Take and eat this is my body”; Eucharistic blessing
  • Fourth Altar: (prepared by St. Vincent DePaul) Gospel of St. Luke 24:28 “Did not our hearts burn within us”; Echaristic blessing

Corpus Christi

We are in desperate need for Eucharistic Adorers who are willing to give a “2 minute testimonial” before all masses this coming Sunday, the Feast of Corpus Christi. We will be having a sign up table for all new adorers after mass and need to get people to learn from your experiance what it is like to adore our Lord regularly. Father Milota has agreed to let a representative (adorer) to speak at all the masses before mass starts (after the announcements). We have been able to cover 8 out of the 11 masses and here are our current needs:

  • 6:30 am,
  • 8:00 am and
  • 12:30pm (The celebration mass followed by procession).

If you or your spouse are able and willing to cover any of these 3 masses, please let me know which one works best for you. I know most of you are regular adorers since the begining of this ministry, so if you can help us out, we would really appreciate it. Just eamil me your reply as soon as possible.

Thanks and God bless

Sarah Bogusz (Adoration committee)
